The contract for the Army Knowledge Online Enterprise Services system contains one base year and one option year, according to a Monday Defense Systems report.
Northrop’s information technology sector will operate, maintain and update the AKO-ES system and provide help desk support services for the system.
AKO-ES has more than 2.5 million users in the Army, Defense Department and joint communities, Defense Systems reports.
According to the report, the Army Contracting Command did not award the contract as a fixed-price type because it could not estimate the amount of work nor time needed to complete the project.
