SAIC to Provide PBGC IT Support Through $248M Contract; Bob Genter Quoted

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a position on a potential five-year, $248M contract to support the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.'s information technology operations. The multiple-award contract includes work to help PBGC manage and update IT platforms as well as support services for the agency's SharePoint collaboration software suite, SAIC said Tuesday.

A new Deltek report forecasts that the addressable information technology market for Department of Defense contractors will increase to $55.7B in fiscal year 2024 from $53B in FY19. Another report from the Herndon, Va.-based company predicts that the intelligence community will increase IT investments to $11B in FY24 from $9.9B in FY19.
