Boeing Wins $185M for Chinook Logistics

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $185 million contract to provide performance based logistics services for the U.S. Navy‘s fleet of Chinook helicopters, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will occur in Ridley Park, Penn. through Sept. 30, 2017 and the U.S. Army Contracting Command’s office at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. is the contracting activity.

The company won a $676 million modification from the Army in February to provide that branch 32 Chinooks, nearly a month after the Pentagon announced a set of Chinook contracts worth nearly $588 million.

One contract worth an estimated $370 million covers a bridge requirement to support the foreign military sales program and another nearly $218 million modified an existing procurement.

Australia and the United Arab Emirates are purchasing the helicopters through a $370 million sale.
