- Anduril raised $5 billion, boosting its valuation to $61 billion
- Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz led the funding round
- Funding will support manufacturing expansion and faster deployment of autonomous defense systems
Anduril Industries has raised $5 billion in a Series H financing round led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, bringing the defense technology company’s valuation to $61 billion.
Why Is the Funding Significant to Anduril?
Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf said Wednesday the financing reflects growing investor confidence in defense technology companies as the U.S. and its allies address mounting technological and industrial challenges tied to military modernization and evolving security threats, including great-power competition, China’s expanding influence and the rise of autonomous warfare.
The raise will allow Anduril to expand manufacturing capacity, research and development, and infrastructure to field advanced defense systems at scale.
What Strategic Priorities Are Driving Investment?
Anduril emphasized that the convergence of artificial intelligence, autonomy and advanced sensing is reshaping modern warfare, driving demand for scalable, software-defined systems and modular architectures that can be produced and deployed rapidly. To support these evolving defense needs, the company has been investing in manufacturing infrastructure, including its Arsenal-1 production facility and ArsenalOS software platform, to accelerate the production and deployment of autonomous and missile systems.
How Is Anduril Expanding Its Defense Portfolio?
The funding comes as Anduril continues to expand its role in major defense programs and strengthen its portfolio of advanced sensing and communications technologies. The company recently secured a position on the U.S. Air Force’s $1.8 billion Andromeda contract for space domain awareness, supporting the Geosynchronous Reconnaissance & Surveillance Constellation, a planned network of satellites operating in geosynchronous orbit.
Anduril also secured a potential 10-year, $20 billion contract vehicle designed to streamline procurement of its commercial IT platforms and accelerate the delivery of capabilities to military and government customers.
In addition, the company has pursued acquisitions to broaden its defense technology offerings. Anduril recently agreed to acquire ExoAnalytic Solutions to expand its space domain awareness and missile defense capabilities. Earlier this year, Anduril acquired American Infrared Solutions to expand its sensing technologies across the electromagnetic spectrum for defense and national security applications. The company also completed its acquisition of Dublin-based Klas in July 2025, adding edge computing and tactical communications capabilities to its portfolio.
