The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company said Tuesday Kunal will succeed his father, Raman Mehra, who founded Scientific Systems over thirty years ago. Raman is retiring after decades of leadership but will continue to serve as the company’s executive chairman, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing strategic guidance.
As CEO, the younger Mehra will spearhead the company’s strategic vision amid accelerating growth driven by rising demand for advanced autonomous technologies designed to counter emerging military threats.
“We are at a critical point in history, given the importance of AI-powered autonomy to maintain our supremacy on the battlefield and protect our nation. I am honored to continue the work that my father started and lead Scientific Systems into the next stage of its growth as we develop the cutting-edge technology our military needs,” said Mehra.
Kunal Mehra’s Career Achievements
Mehra spent over 20 years at Scientific Systems. He most recently served as president from 2022 to 2025 and as senior vice president of strategy and market development for over 17 years.
Prior to that, Mehra was VP of strategy and market development at Equitant from 2001 to 2005. He started his career at McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant for two years.
