Socure has named Rohan Sivaram chief financial officer, bringing in the executive who led finance at Confluent through its acquisition by IBM.

Beyond running finance and operations worldwide, Sivaram will take on capital markets and investor relations and will advise product and sales leaders on the pricing and scaling of agentic offerings, Socure said Thursday.
“Rohan has helped Silicon Valley technology leaders navigate pivotal periods of growth, building finance organizations equipped to manage increasing scale and complexity, including the transition to public markets,” said Johnny Ayers, founder and CEO of Socure.
“AI has fundamentally changed the internet, making trusted identity essential to every interaction. Rohan’s experience will allow us to scale with discipline to build the trust infrastructure required for the AI economy,” he added.
Socure is one of several identity and fraud vendors scaling into federal missions. The Potomac Officers Club will host the 2026 Homeland Security Summit on Nov. 10 at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia, covering AI for investigative intelligence, edge capabilities for border defense and counter-drone operations. What Experience Does Sivaram Bring to Socure?
Sivaram arrives from Confluent, where he spent six years, the last three as chief financial officer and before that as senior vice president covering finance, investor relations and business operations. As CFO, he stood up the finance function, prepared the company to go public in 2021 and stayed through its conversion to consumption pricing. IBM’s $11 billion purchase of Confluent closed this year under his tenure.
Before joining Confluent, he spent six years at Palo Alto Networks, rising to senior vice president and head of finance as revenue climbed from roughly $500 million to $3.7 billion. His LinkedIn profile credits him with running the Evident.io and Demisto acquisitions and a convertible debt raise. He had earlier worked at Symantec in investor relations, strategic finance and corporate planning roles.
Sivaram holds a master’s degree in analytical finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
He will join an executive team that has seen substantial turnover in recent months. Chung-Man Tam took over as chief product officer and Pablo Abreu as chief artificial intelligence and innovation officer in May, followed by Mark Carter as chief information security officer in June.
What Is Behind Socure’s $5.2B Valuation?
Summit Partners led a growth investment in August that valued Socure at $5.2 billion, joined by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Wells Fargo and Docusign. The company bought Fravity the same month, offering the latter’s agent-building and operations capabilities through RiskOS as RiskOS_Agents, a layer designed to automate the fraud, risk and compliance casework that currently requires manual review. RiskOS is available to agencies in a FedRAMP-authorized version that handles both identity proofing and fraud detection, and a partnership with Thomson Reuters feeds CLEAR identity and risk data into it.
Socure attributed the more than 8,000 percent increase in attacks across its network to artificial intelligence over the past year.
Jordan Burris, who leads the public sector business, has pressed the administration to classify digital identity as critical infrastructure and told Congress this year that investigators lose too much time assembling cases manually.
