Agile Defense has appointedTonya Alston, a senior growth executive, as senior vice president of growth and capture for the federal civilian sector.
Alston announced her move to the McLean, Virginia-based IT services contractor in a LinkedIn post published Friday.
In her post, she said she is excited to work with Agile Defense’s team to support the company’s mission of driving digital transformation, cybersecurity and analytics.
Alston’s appointment came two months after Agile Defense closed its acquisition of IntelliBridge to broaden its technology capabilities and integrated platforms in support of defense, national security federal civilian missions.
Tonya Alston’s Career Background
Before Agile Defense, Alston was with ICF as VP of federal acquisition and business development sales leader, according to her profile on the professional networking site.
The North Carolina Central University graduate first joined ICF in 2022 as VP of growth and development. In this capacity, she implemented strategies to drive revenue and expand client base through strategic partnerships and collaboration.
The Agile Defense SVP’s three-decade career in the federal and private sectors included growth and business development leadership roles at Excelicon, Avram, Pentagon Performance, Ideation816 and Ridgewood Technology Partners.
The business growth strategist served as a program manager at the Department of Justice and as a contracting officer at the Federal Aviation Administration.
