In a LinkedIn post announcing the leadership move, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said he is excited to see how George will drive innovation through engineering in partnership with the company’s research, product and manufacturing organizations.
George succeeds Jim Brinker, a three-time Wash100 awardee who has been serving as president and GM of Intel Federal since 2019.
“His deep technical leadership, alongside his passion for working closely with customers, makes him ideal to drive innovation and collaborate with the U.S. government in deeper more meaningful ways,” Gelsinger said of George.
George most recently served as chief technology officer for corporate strategy and ventures group at Intel.
He joined the Santa Clara, California-based technology company in 2011 as a software engineer. Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including market research analyst, strategic program manager and chief of staff to the CEO.
