Critical to the work of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, BEI-RRP will serve as a centralized repository of various materials — like organisms and reagents — relevant to researchers working on infectious diseases and microbiology, according to a notice posted on SAM.gov.
Work under the contract includes the acquisition, storage and distribution of biological and chemical materials; the development and maintenance of an inventory tracking system that will handle the receipt, storage and distribution of all research materials; the development and upkeep of a system that will facilitate access to the repository and the registration of the repository’s users.
The period of performance began on Oct. 16, with an expected completion date of Oct. 15, 2024. If all options are exercised, the completion date moves to 2030.
