The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) a $60.3 million contract to develop and integrate electronic systems into the Navy’s LPD 26 ship, Raytheon announced Wednesday.
LPD 26 is the 10th ship of the Navy’s LPD 17-class of expeditionary warfare ships. Raytheon said it will provide for LPD 26:
- Engineering and ship control systems
- Shipboard wide area network
- Navigation data distribution system
- AN/SPS-73 navigation radar
- Portable, integrated voice communications systems
Raytheon said its integrated defense systems business unit is the total ship electronics systems integrator for all LPD 17-class ships.
