C3 Integrated Solutions and Steel Root have merged to form a new entity that will provide end-to-end managed services to help defense contractors comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program and other regulatory standards.
Marc Pantoni, former president of Thrive, has been named CEO of the combined company that will operate under the name C3 Integrated Solutions, the companies said in a joint release published Wednesday.
Private equity firm M/C Partners has made an investment in the new company to help the latter further develop and expand the delivery of managed services and platforms in support of the needs of the defense industrial base.
Travis Keller, a partner at M/C Partners, said the firm is committed to supporting the growth of the combined entity as it works to protect the country’s sensitive data.
C3 Founder and President Bill Wootton will assume the role of chief revenue officer of the combined company and Ryan Heidorn, co-founder and managing director of Steel Root, will serve as chief technology officer.
The transaction will combine Steel Root’s CMMC Reference Architecture with C3’s portfolio of information technology services, including Microsoft GCC High.
