Lockheed Wins $165M Extension for NASA Mission Control Services

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $165 million option by NASA that extends the Facilities Development and Operations contract the company originally won in 2009 through Sept. 30, 2013.

The total contract is now worth $919.5 million with one more option available to be exercised.

Under the contract, Lockheed will continue to provide mission control services. It will also support the development, maintenance and operation of training hardware, software, data and displays systems.

The majority of  the services will be provided at or near Johnson Space Center in Houston with two subcontractors.
