Mustafa Veziroglu, former chief operating officer of CACI International’s (NYSE: CACI) SA Photonics subsidiary, has been named president of Mynaric (Nasdaq: MYNA) and member of the laser communication equipment manufacturer’s management board.
He will be based at Mynaric’s headquarters in Munich, Germany, and oversee product development and management of comm technologies offered to commercial and government customers, the company said Thursday.
According to Bulent Altan, CEO of Mynaric, all product-related activities within the company are directed to Veziroglu in an effort to streamline internal reporting and ramp up production of optical communications terminals for space, airborne and terrestrial applications.
At SA Photonics, Veziroglu led the organization’s partnership with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Space Development Agency to develop space-to-space optical communications links in low Earth orbit.
Veziroglu is also a semiconductor industry veteran who previously held leadership positions at Xilinx and Lattice Semiconductor.
