Two contractor logistics support recompetes for Navy training helicopters and jets, each valued between $1 billion and $1.5 billion, are included in the updated acquisition forecast from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.

What Changed From the Prior Forecast?

One entry carries a higher value than it did last quarter. NAWCAD now estimates the Cyber Warfare Services IDIQ consolidation at $500 million to $1 billion, up from $200 million to $500 million, OrangeSlices AI reported. NAWCAD plans to establish a single-award vehicle for Cyber Warfare Department services by consolidating two existing contracts held by Resource Management Concepts and The MIL Corp.

The forecast projects a final request for proposals in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 and an award in the fourth. It lists no set-aside determination and provides no detailed scope for the consolidated requirement.

What Else Is NAWCAD Planning?

Several requirements in the $200 million to $500 million range are set for solicitation during fiscal 2027, including Aegis VIII radio communications work for destroyers and cruisers, Exterior Communications XI covering C5ISR installation and shipboard radios, and technical and engineering services supporting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads. BAE Systems currently holds the first two, and Booz Allen Hamilton the third.

A software engineering support services requirement valued at $250 million to $500 million is projected to be solicited in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, with an award a year later. The AIRWorks lead systems integrator support contract falls in the same range, with solicitation projected for the third quarter. AMERICAN SYSTEMS and CRL Technologies hold the current contracts, respectively.

Two contracted air services requirements round out the larger entries. The electronic warfare stand-off jamming jets contract carries a value of $200 million to $500 million, with solicitation projected for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027, and the E-6B in-flight trainer work falls in the same range, with solicitation in the second quarter. Airborne Tactical Advantage Co. and KALS are the incumbents.
