Northrop, Global Ordnance Unit Win Spots on $750M Army Ammo Supply Contract

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and a Global Ordnance division will compete for orders under a potential $750 million contract to supply special ammunition and weapons systems to the U.S. Army.

The service branch’s procurement organization received 10 bids for the firm-fixed-price contract through an online solicitation, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Army Contracting Command will assign work locations and obligate funds upon issuance of individual orders to Northrop and Global Military Products.

DOD estimates contract work to finish by Jan. 30, 2027.

In December 2021, Northrop won a $1.38 billion contract to build the Army’s Integrated Battle Command System for military users to detect and track airborne threats such as enemy missiles.
