Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business has secured an $87 million contract to help the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office update information technology applications that support the agency’s trademark filing and registration process.
Accenture Federal Services will assist the USPTO Office of the Chief Information Officer in efforts to develop a DevSecOps platform and incorporate cloud, automation and cyber tools into the Trademark Product Line system, the company said Tuesday.
AFS will serve as the TMPL prime systems integrator under the seven-year contract awarded through the General Services Administration‘s Alliant 2 procurement vehicle.
Rasha Nahas, managing director and the Department of Commerce lead for AFS, said the company will bring resources from its Accenture Federal Digital Studio to support the modernization of the TMPL IT systems.
“By merging the latest technologies with proven product management practices, we will help the USPTO streamline the entire trademark application process across its lifecycle, including the migration of legacy products,” Nahas added.
