Accenture Federal Arm to Continue US Marshals IT Modernization Support Under $618M Task Order

An Accenture (NYSE: ACN) subsidiary has won a seven-year, $618 million task order to modernize information technology systems for the U.S. Marshals Service, a law enforcement agency under the Department of Justice responsible for securing the federal judiciary.

Accenture Federal Services will continue to update the agency’s case management platform and expand its mobile, analytics, cloud computing, geospatial and biometric tools as part of an integrated technology project, the company said Wednesday.

Services for the effort are intended to help USMS implement automated systems and other emerging technology to replace older IT platforms.

Jenna O’Steen, managing director and sector lead for justice and judiciary at AFS, said the company will work to help the federal law enforcement agency integrate operational data and gain new insights.

AFS secured the task order under the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle.

In 2017, the GSA Federal Systems Integration and Management Center awarded the subsidiary a $232 million contract to support the implementation of USMS’ Mission Modernization Program.
