Navy Awards Eight Spots on Potential $880M Fuel System Restoration, Sustainment IDIQ

Six independent firms and two joint ventures have won spots on a potential five-year, $880M contract from the U.S. Navy to modernize, restore or sustain petroleum, oil and lubricant storage assets.

Contractors will compete for fuel system design, construction, engineering, test, maintenance, repair and inspection task orders encompassing pipelines and related POL facilities around the world, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The service branch received 18 proposals for the multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive bidding process.

DoD expects work to be completed by February 2025.

Aptim's federal services business won the initial $623,600 task order to inspect, clean and repair POL fuel tanks installed at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego.
