Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a $2.43B contract modification to obtain global, base, deployment and afloat spares packages for the F-35 jets of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force as well as non-U.S. Department of Defense participants and foreign military sales customers in the Joint Strike Fighter program.
DoD said Friday that it expects customers to place all their orders by December next year. The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds upon issuance of each order under the modification, which falls under a previously issued firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Work will take place at various locations within the U.S., England and the Netherlands.
