SOS International has purchased Tampa, Fla.-based communications and information technology support company Vykin for an undisclosed sum in a move to grow IT and intelligence offerings for the defense sector.
SOSi said Wednesday the deal gives the Reston, Va.-based company a spot on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s $6B Enhanced Solutions for the IT Enterprise contract and on a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency procurement vehicle for agile and cloud development services.
Vykin also provides command and control support to Department of Defense customers across Southwest Asia, Europe and the Pacific region.
Julian Setian, president and CEO of SOSi and a 2019 Wash100 Award winner, said the purchase “makes us responsible for developing the DoDs mission partner environment, which facilitates communications with our international allies around the globe.
