GSA Seeks Info on Small Vendors for $1.8B PRISM Contract MDoDS Pool On-Ramp

The General Services Administration has begun soliciting information on small businesses that could participate in the potential $1.8 billion Personnel and Readiness Infrastructure Support Management, or PRISM, contract through an on-ramp to the Major Department of Defense Systems, or MDoDS, pool.

According to a March 21 notice published on SAM.gov, GSA will accept responses to the request for information through April 7.

What Is the PRISM Contract?

PRISM is a multiple award task order contract designed to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, its directorates and strategic mission partners by providing enterprise platforms and professional services to improve readiness and meet mission requirements.

The contract vehicle has a one-year base term and four option years and has two pools: the Personnel and Readiness pool and the MDoDS pool.

GSA issued a solicitation in February 2024 and awarded the PRISM contract on July 15, 2024. The contract is expected to run through July 2029.

Scope of MDoDS Pool

The MDoDS pool covers professional service support for personnel and readiness employing significant and complex military or defense-related systems that are built, managed or used by the DOD.

These systems may be large-scale projects involving advanced technologies and substantial investments. They can include components such as national security systems, surveillance platforms, communication systems or other capabilities designed to enhance national security and military readiness.

Sustainment, modernization and life cycle are the three functional areas associated with the MDoDS pool.
