John Fitzpatrick Named V2X VP, Chief Security Officer

John Fitzpatrick shared on LinkedIn Thursday that he has been appointed vice president and chief security officer at V2X.

The executive will be responsible for all corporate security operations, including classified program protections, business continuity, enterprise security risk management and personnel, physical and technical security.

John Fitzpatrick Career Highlights

Fitzpatrick most recently worked as a strategic adviser providing his services to various clients in the aerospace, defense and intelligence sectors. He served as CSO at Ball Aerospace for nearly three years, managing a wide range of security initiatives, including classified programs, cybersecurity, counterintelligence, insider threats and supply chain vendor vetting. Fitzpatrick spent over a year as VP at Orbis, where he provided advisory services to national security leaders.

Before joining the private sector, Fitzpatrick worked for almost four years as the senior director for records access and information security management at the National Security Council. In this capacity, the V2X executive directed national security policies protecting sensitive information within the executive branch, including critical presidential records.

Fitzpatrick served as director of the information security oversight office in the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, where he directed federal programs governing the secure exchange of classified national security information throughout the executive branch, industry and non-federal entities.

The security professional also worked at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for over five years, serving as the principal adviser to the Director of National Intelligence. Before that, he spent almost three decades with the CIA and the National Reconnaissance Office, most recently as a senior executive of the Senior Intelligence Service.
