Cherokee Federal has appointed Joe Boeckx, a seasoned defense and intelligence industry executive, as chief growth officer to help advance the company’s strategic growth plans and support federal market expansion efforts.
“Joe’s extensive experience and our shared commitment to a customer-first approach will be invaluable as we continue driving strategic growth and competing in the full and open market,” Cherokee Federal President Steven Bilby said in a statement published Monday.
Boeckx said Cherokee Federal has built a track record of operational excellence and growth and that he is excited to contribute as it works to meet the mission-critical needs of government customers.
Joe Boeckx’s Career Background
Boeckx brings to Cherokee Federal more than 20 years of experience in intelligence operations, corporate development and business operations with a strong focus on defense, technology and federal services.
He most recently served as chief growth officer at QinetiQ US, where he oversaw growth strategies for a portfolio that included artificial intelligence, advanced robotics and systems engineering.
Prior to QinetiQ US, he was president and chief growth officer at Makwa Global, where he helped expand the company’s presence across several federal markets.
The strategic leader also held senior business development roles at several defense and aerospace companies, including Akima, Tenax Aerospace and Leidos. At Leidos, he was part of the integration team that facilitated the merger with Lockheed Martin’s information systems and global solutions business.
Boeckx started his career as an Army officer and served as a senior liaison officer supporting global counterterrorism operations for U.S. Special Operations Command and Joint Special Operations Command.
