John Song, a managing director at Baird’s Global Investment Banking Group, received his 2025 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent meeting.
Founded in 2014 by Garrettson, the Wash100 Award celebrates the most impactful and influential executives transforming the government contracting industry. The 100 awardees come from the government and private sector who have made remarkable achievements in the past year and are poised to accomplish more in the GovCon landscape throughout 2025 and the years to come.
Song won his second Wash100 Award this year in recognition of his leadership in driving GovCon industry growth and development through M&A deals and investment efforts. Check out his Wash100 profile to find out more about why he was selected to receive the 2025 Wash100.
“Whether guiding high-impact transactions or co-hosting the annual Baird Defense & Government Conference—where Executive Mosaic was honored to be the main media invitee—John’s expertise and strategic perspective make him a key figure in the industry. It’s great to recognize him once again,” Garrettson said.
Song and his Defense and Government team at Baird advised on major deals in 2024, including KBR’s acquisition of LinQuest and the sale of Applied Insight to CACI International. These transactions continue to solidify his reputation as a trusted executive in GovCon M&A, enabling him to play an integral role in shaping the GovCon landscape.
Congratulations to Song on his second Wash100 Award! Executive Mosaic is honored to feature him as part of the elite group of awardees.
