Before her latest move, Chang-Chien was the VP and general manager of Boeing Research & Technology, or BR&T. She was responsible for spearheading technological advancements that boost product quality and drive the company’s market competitiveness.
The executive was also the VP of mission systems and autonomy within the BR&T. Her work involved overseeing a team of scientists, technologists, engineers and technicians tasked with developing advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, mission systems, avionics, and autonomy.
The Boeing executive previously served as the electronic and electrical engineering chief engineer. Her responsibilities included cultivating talent, developing design practices, enhancing tools and processes, implementing model-based engineering and ensuring technical integration. Chang-Chien also served as the director of mission systems and cyber technologies as well as director of electronics technology.
Before joining Boeing, Chang-Chien spent more than two decades at Northrop Grumman. She started her career in 1997 and left in 2019 as the director of electronic products and technology at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems.
