The company said Wednesday Scott succeeds John Heneghan, a 2026 Wash100 awardee who is transitioning to the role of consulting transformation officer within ASGN’s commercial segment.

Scott will oversee strategy and operations across federal customers, with a focus on long-term growth, operational execution and delivery of complex government IT programs.

ASGN CEO Ted Hanson said Scott is a growth leader with experience delivering technology products and services to federal customers. He noted that ASGN expects to benefit from long-term demand drivers as federal agencies expand budgets to modernize technology, strengthen mission capabilities and increase AI adoption.

“Donnie’s customer relationships and operating expertise enhance our ability to execute and create sustained value for our customers and shareholders,” Hanson added.

Who Is Donnie Scott?

Scott is a national security executive with over 25 years of experience in federal services and technology markets.

He most recently served as CEO of IDEMIA Public Security North America, where he led operations supporting federal, state, local and international government customers. He also held senior leadership roles at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP and Electronic Data Systems.

The University of Virginia economics graduate participates in industry associations focused on emerging technologies, biometrics and travel.

“ECS has built a strong foundation in the federal market with trusted customer relationships and differentiated capabilities,” Scott said. “I look forward to working with the team to build on their momentum, expand offerings, and capitalize on the opportunities created by a growing federal budget.”

What Did ASGN CEO Ted Hanson Say About John Heneghan?

Hanson thanked Heneghan, a five-time Wash100 honoree, for his leadership of the federal segment over the past four years.

“John successfully guided ECS through a dynamic federal spending environment, and we look forward to his continued positive impact as he transitions into the new role of Consulting Transformation Officer within our Commercial Segment. In this new leadership position, John will bring his transformation expertise to further advance ASGN’s evolution into an AI-led technology solutions provider,” Hanson noted.

What Is Everforth?

In November, IT services provider ASGN announced plans to unify its six current brands, including ECS, under a new corporate identity, Everforth. The company said the move aims to bring greater value to clients, drive operational efficiencies and strengthen collaboration with partners. ASGN said its transition to Everforth will occur in the first half of 2026.

Everforth will operate as a technology and digital engineering company offering platforms across six areas: AI and data; digital engineering; cloud and infrastructure; cybersecurity; customer experience; and enterprise platforms.
