As Amentum SVP, Clavon will supervise a team of analysts, developers and engineers tasked with protecting strategic partners by utilizing machine learning, big data analytics and other emerging technologies to safeguard data, enhance operational agility and reinforce digital and physical infrastructure. The team is responsible for gathering, processing and assessing security data to identify, prevent and address possible threats.
Gwen Clavon’s Earlier Career
Before joining Amentum, Clavon served as SVP of cyber and intelligence solutions at Jacobs, where she helped the company establish a foothold in the data and secure services industry. She was also VP and general manager of platforms technologies and software solutions.
Clavon previously worked with BlackLynx as chief operating officer. She also held the roles of VP of analytics and strategy and senior director of analytics. Before joining BlackLynx, the executive spent more than eight years at Blackbird Technologies.
Earlier in her career, Clavon worked as a civilian computer specialist for the U.S. Air Force and as a technical adviser to the Air Force’s chief information officer. She was a programmer for the National Science Foundation Network and a member of the architecture team of the CIA’s chief information officer.
