According to an award notice published Thursday on SAM.gov, the service branch launched a full and open competition for the hybrid contract, which will support the 9th Air Force, Air Forces Central.
The contract covers maintenance, storage, outload, reconstitution of GPMS assets, exercise and contingency logistics support.
Contract work will occur at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
GPMS Solicitation
In June 2023, Air Combat Command issued a solicitation for the GPMS requirement, which includes receipt, inventory, maintenance, repair, periodic inspection and test, shipping and reporting of war reserve materiel resources in support of 9AF, AFCENT.
WRM assets include basic expeditionary airfield resources, fuels support equipment, aerospace ground equipment, munitions materiel handling equipment and rapid airfield damage repair assets.
The contract also calls for the contractor to maintain and repair government-furnished facilities at specific locations while meeting environmental compliance requirements.
