Adam Geller, a security industry veteran with 25 years of experience as a product and engineering professional, has been named chief product officer at Zscaler (Nasdaq: ZS).
The cloud security company said Monday Geller will be responsible for scaling and accelerating Zscaler’s next phase of innovation and growth.
Jay Chaudhry, CEO, chairman and founder of Zscaler, expressed excitement over Geller’s hiring, saying, “His extensive and proven security product and engineering experience will be invaluable to Zscaler as we build our AI-driven security operations platform.”
Geller spent more than four years at Exabeam, focusing on security operations, security information and event management. He initially served as CPO, supervising the team that developed the global cybersecurity company’s security management platform. He was later promoted to CEO, a position he held until his move to Zscaler.
At Palo Alto Networks, Geller guided the development of different virtualization and cloud-focused products. He served as vice president of product management before becoming the senior VP of SaaS, virtualization and cloud-delivered security for product and engineering.
The executive also worked at NTT Communications, a subsidiary of the NTT Group (NYSE: NTT), as the VP of product management and product marketing. Here, he oversaw the development of a security services technology platform.
Commenting on his appointment, Geller said, “I am thrilled to take on the opportunity to grow Zscaler beyond $5B in ARR through our current and future product offerings powered by AI & ML.”
