What Are the Details of the MQ-9B UAS Contract Modification?
According to the notice published Tuesday on SAM.gov, the modification was awarded on March 31 by CBP’s air and marine contracting division as a hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price sole source action.
What Is Covered Under the Existing Contract?
The modification builds on CBP’s existing agreement with GA-ASI, originally awarded in March 2022, covering UAS hardware, operations, maintenance support and integration services. The effort includes the provision of replacement aircraft, spare parts, system upgrades, software support, pilot and mission payload operator services, and upkeep of ground station facilities and the Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar, or VADER. It also encompasses both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
