New Potomac Officers Club Forum to Tackle One of Industry’s Most Crucial Topics—5G

5G communications are not merely the province of our cell phones: they come with abundant potential for government and military uses and for bolstering national security. They can play a key role in Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control, be implemented when building smarter cities and in enhancing the warfighter’s toolkit. U.S. federal officials are eager to meet with industry to discuss 5G, which is why Potomac Officers Club is hosting the 2024 5G Forum on May 22. Registration is now open!

This pivotal breakfast event will feature keynote speakers and panel sessions that move past the buzzwords and common knowledge and take a close, informed look at the future of 5G, its most effective use cases and areas that require greater public-private partnership. A location for the event is forthcoming, but it will be in the Tysons Corner, Virginia area.

Lt. Col. Benjamin Pimentel

One of these keynotes will be delivered by Lt. Col. Benjamin Pimentel, technical lead for expeditionary and tactical programs at the FutureG office within the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Lt. Gen. Pimentel is a Marine Corps communications officer and electronics engineer who has previously served as program manager for expeditionary C4/cyber at the Office of Naval Research. He offers a wealth of both operational and technical experience in his current role and has a great deal of insight on 5G and FutureG to share with the audience.

Communications giant Ericsson, along with Booz Allen Hamilton, V2X, Capgemini, Oceus and Verizon are all big believers in the event and endorse it as platinum sponsors.
