Space Systems Command launched a competitive acquisition process and received three offers for the Sounding Rocket Program-4 contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
SRP-4 is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that has an ordering period of nine years.
The command obligated $40,000 using Space Force funds for fiscal 2023 at the time of award.
Work will occur at the vendors’ facilities and various government launch sites through Nov. 15, 2029.
In November 2022, the command released an on-ramp solicitation for the fourth iteration of the Sounding Rocket Program to expand the pool of vendors that could provide suborbital launch support for payloads and flight hardware.
