The company said Tuesday the “Computationally Augmented and Resilient: Situation Awareness, Intelligence, Planning, Mobility, and Defense” task order is a recompeted award.
David Tyler, vice president of C5ISR solutions at Parsons, said the award reflects the company’s commitment to innovation in support of the Army.
“We are excited to leverage our experience and expertise to further empower the ARL and contribute to impactful operations, AI/ML research, and cybersecurity capabilities,” Tyler added.
What Is the Scope of the Army DEVCOM ARL Task Order?
In addition to R&D support, Parsons said it will provide test and evaluation, project management and infrastructure operations support under the task order.
The work will support the Army Research Directorate’s mission by advancing scientific research and technology in areas including network and communication sciences, information processing, information assurance, advanced computing and computational sciences.
The company will also deliver systems administration, network security and database management services, and will support operational requirements tied to the High Performance Computing Modernization Program, or HPCMP, and Defense Research and Engineering Network, or DREN.
What Is HPCMP?
HPCMP is a Department of War initiative that provides scientists, engineers and acquisition engineering professionals with high-performance computing resources to support the development of new platforms designed to address technical challenges.
The program’s solution areas include computation centers, networking, software, training, security, workforce development and resource management.
What Is DREN?
DREN is a wide area network designed to support DOW’s research, test and engineering missions.
The network’s current iteration supports the HPCMP’s networking mission by providing low-latency connectivity between DOW supercomputing resource centers and user cites.
What Other Army Contracts Did Parsons Secure?
Parsons has received multiple Army awards supporting radar modernization and artificial intelligence development efforts.
The company secured a potential five-year, $30 million recompete contract from the Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center for development engineering and prototyping services. Parsons also received an $81 million task order under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services contract vehicle to develop advanced radio frequency technologies and AI capabilities for the Army’s aerial and ground radar systems.
In addition, Parsons has partnered with the Army’s C5ISR Center through a cooperative research and development agreement to support Project Linchpin, an initiative focused on delivering trusted AI capabilities across the Army enterprise.
