Phil Jasper Appointed President of RTX’s Raytheon Business

Phil Jasper, a more than three-decade aerospace and defense industry veteran, has been named president of RTX’s (NYSE: RTX) Raytheon business.

He will report to Christoper Calio, president and chief operating officer of RTX, and succeed Wesley Kremer, who is set to retire at the end of the first quarter of 2024 after serving in executive leadership positions for over 20 years, the company said Thursday.

As head of Raytheon, Jasper will lead the business segment’s franchises in missile defense, fire control radars, air-to-air missiles and electro-optical/infrared systems.

Jasper’s “recent integration of RTX’s connected battlespace solutions, a critical customer priority and growth driver for the company, is one of many business transformations he has led over his career,” said Calio, who will succeed Gregory Hayes as CEO of RTX in May.

In 2018, Jasper assumed the role of president of Collins Aerospace’s mission systems business unit, where he oversees the delivery of military, civil and government platforms to help customers meet their missions.

Prior to this position, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of government systems at Rockwell Collins.

RTX also announced several leadership moves at its Collins Aerospace segment.

Troy Brunk will succeed Jasper as president of Collins Aerospace’s mission systems unit and Heather Robertson will serve as chief operating officer of mission systems unit.

Nathan Boelkins has been appointed president of the avionics unit at Collins Aerospace.
