Jim Fritz, a business development and technology industry leader, has joined SRI International as senior vice president of federal and strategic program development.
He announced the move in a LinkedIn post published Tuesday.
In this capacity, Fritz will oversee strategy and business development for the California-based nonprofit research and development company’s federal programs.
SRI said in a Feb. 13 news release that Fritz brings to the role his experience in strategy development and implementation, partnership development and operational leadership across the aerospace and commercial sectors.
The SRI executive is a partner at the Clean Energy Venture Group and a member of the Angel Investor Forum and most recently served as a senior adviser to the chief commercialization officer at the Department of Energy.
His industry career included time serving as executive director of strategic initiatives at Collins Aerospace, executive head of innovation business development at United Technologies and manager of design and engineering at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense.
