Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) has secured a 10-year, $150 million blanket purchase agreement from the Department of Justice to help the Office of Records Management Policy store, manage and digitize government records across all DOJ components.
The Records and Information Management Services BPA will support the development of ORMP’s records management as a service tool to streamline records management processes, minimize non-compliance and enhance data security, Iron Mountain said.
Melissa Carson, vice president and general manager of Iron Mountain Government Solutions, remarked that the company’s knowledge of DOJ’s records management requirements makes it the ideal partner to support the department on its RIM modernization journey for the next decade and beyond.
“This partnership will allow ORMP to assist the DOJ with the transition from a physical records-centric operation to a digital records operation as the world of records being physically created is fading away,” said Carson.
