Tim Dunne, chief operating officer of Sealing Technologies, has succeeded Edward Sealing as CEO of the Parsons (NYSE: PSN) subsidiary.
In a LinkedIn post, Sealing announced the leadership change and his transition to the role of chief technology officer after serving for more than a decade as chief executive of the cybersecurity platforms provider.
“Tim’s experience in leadership roles in telecommunications and analytics, both in large and small companies, has given him the expertise needed to continue SealingTech’s upward trajectory. I’ve developed a great working relationship with Tim and trust him to continue to lead the executive functions of the company,” Sealing said in the post.
Since joining SealingTech in 2020, Dunne has held positions of increasing responsibility including strategic adviser and head of product and marketing.
He held COO and other leadership roles at several tech and telecommunications companies, including Lavastorm Analytics, Nextlink Wireless, RCN, Nextel Communications and Verizon (NYSE: VZ).
As CTO, Sealing will oversee technology innovation, thought leadership and customer engagement and help identify technology investments to bring new products to the market.
“My passion has always been to solve the problems of our customers and the cybersecurity industry using leading-edge technology. This transition gets me back to my engineering roots and my passions,” Sealing noted.
He is a U.S. Army veteran who held engineering roles at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and Tresys Technology and served as director of cybersecurity services at Cyber Security Research and Solutions.
In August, Parsons acquired SealingTech to expand its defensive cyber capabilities and strengthen its presence in the national security market.
