Andre Trotter Assumes Segment VP Role at Lockheed

Andre Trotter, a 15-year Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) veteran, has been named segment vice president for deep space exploration, weather/earth sciences and commercial solutions at the Bethesda, Maryland-headquartered defense contractor.

He announced his new post Saturday on LinkedIn and assumed the role after serving as VP overseeing Lockheed’s global portfolio of navigation systems in the military space, including the second-generation satellite-based augmentation system, GPS III, GPS IIIF and SouthPAN.

Before that, he was VP of program management within Lockheed’s space business segment and general manager and program director of the company’s aeronautics unit.

Trotter concurrently sits on the advisory board for the aerospace engineering and mechanics department at the University of Alabama and serves on the board of directors of the University of Texas at El Paso College of Engineering.
