Peter Hughes, former program director at Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) systems business, was elevated to the role of vice president of tactical unmanned aircraft systems and battlefield connectivity at the Haslet, Texas-based defense and space manufacturing company, according to a LinkedIn post.
The executive has been with Textron Systems for nearly a decade now.
He began his industry career as a project manager for electronic warfare simulation systems at the company in 2014 and climbed the ranks to his most recent post as TUAS program director.
Hughes served with the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 10 years before transitioning to the private sector. His previous USMC roles were Marine Corps officer/naval aviator and naval flight school instructor pilot.
