He will lead strategic growth initiatives across the company and oversee market analysis to help identify business opportunities through product development and acquisition, Ultra I&C said Tuesday.

Basnight most recently served as VP and business development executive for CACI’s Commercial Solutions for Classified-compliant, quantum-resilient mobility programs.
Previously, he held a four-year stint at Thales Defense & Security Inc. and oversaw the company’s strategic programs for defense, intelligence and civilian agencies.
His Army career included time as chief engineer and product manager of network systems responsible for leading the technical resource team of the service branch’s tactical radio program.
