The U.S. Navy veteran replaces John Ratigan, who has led iDirectGov for two decades and helped the satellite communications provider grow its government business, the company said Wednesday.
He previously worked with defense customers through his roles at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and the legacy L-3 Communications company.
Winter operated the Navy’s P-3 Orion aircraft as a flight officer over eight years before he transitioned to the private sector.
The retired Navy commander holds an MBA from Georgetown University.
