Essex-Led Team to Provide National Cancer Institute IT Services Under Potential $1.7B BPA

Essex Management and four other companies will collaborate to bring information technology services to the National Institutes of Health’s cancer research organization through a blanket purchase agreement valued at $1.70 billion over five years.

The BPA serves as a procurement vehicle for the National Cancer Institute to address IT requirements cross administrative, business and scientific functions, Essex said Tuesday.

Members of the industry team include Cognizance Technologies, CTIS, Peregrine and NuAxis.

Rockville, Maryland-based Essex also holds a position on a potential 10-year, $320 million contract for epidemiology and genetics research support to NCI’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics.
