CGI to Buy TeraThink; George Schindler, Tim Hurlebaus Quoted

CGI (NYSE: GIB) has agreed to acquire Reston, Va.-based information technology and management consulting firm TeraThink for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its enterprise application services for federal government clients. The transaction is expected to be finalized by the end of March and will allow CGI Federal to build up its consulting capabilities and incorporate TeraThink’s data analytics, application development and agile enablement capabilities into its IT offerings portfolio, CGI said Wednesday.

White House Wants Congress to Authorize $46B in Additional Funds to Fight COVID-19

The White House has asked Congress for $45.8B in additional funding for fiscal year 2020 and authorities to facilitate ongoing coronavirus preparedness and response efforts. Russ Vought, acting director of the Office of Management and Budget, wrote in a Wednesday letter to Congress that the Trump administration wants to amend its FY 2021 requested budget to increase the funding of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to $8.3B.

PSS Acquires IT Consulting Firm Eagle Ray; Randy Morgan Quoted

Preferred Systems Solutions has purchased Chantilly, Va.-based information technology management consulting firm Eagle Ray for an undisclosed sum. Babs Doherty, president and CEO of Eagle Ray, will bring to PSS her over three decades’ experience in the national security space as a senior vice president within the newly created Eagle Ray Technologies Group and will report directly to Randy Morgan, PSS president and CEO and a previous Wash100 award recipient, PSS said.
