Bill Bodie, a more-than-three-decade defense and civil engineering industry veteran, has been appointed senior director of development at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, GovCon Wire has learned.
Bodie most recently served as development director at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments and was a visiting fellow at the Lexington Institute before he joined CSBA in April 2019.
His GovCon experience included time as executive vice president of the Middle East and Africa business at Parsons (NYSE: PSN), head of business development for Fluor’s (NYSE: FLR) government group, lead executive of KBR‘s (NYSE: KBR) North American government and defense business unit and director of executive communications at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
Earlier in his career, Bodie served as a senior fellow at the National Defense University’s Institute for National Strategic Studies, where he led research into national security institutions in Russia and other former republics of the Soviet Union.
He is a former special assistant to the U.S. Air Force secretary and director of AF communications.
