Air Force Solicits Offers for Phase II Option Under C-17 Sustainment IDIQ Contract

The U.S. Air Force has issued a request for proposals as it plans to award a modification to exercise the Phase II option on a previously awarded contract for sustainment services in support of the military branch’s fleet of C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft.

The Phase II option of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has ordering periods of 37 months that will kick off in October 2024 and run through Oct. 31, 2027.

In September 2021, Boeing (NYSE: BA) received a potential $24 billion contract to provide sustainment support services for the Air Force’s C-17 fleet.

The sole-source IDIQ contract includes program management, software design, sustaining engineering and depot maintenance support and has a performance period of nine years and eight months.

Proposals are due July 28, 2023.
