IBM Research Vet Robert Sutor Named ColdQuanta VP of Corporate Development

Robert Sutor, a nearly four-decade veteran of IBM (NYSE: IBM), has joined quantum technology developer ColdQuanta to serve as vice president of corporate development.

His information technology experience includes work on data science, blockchain, artificial intelligence and open source platforms, ColdQuanta said Monday.

Sutor held various roles at IBM including as investor and influencer relations leader for the company’s quantum business, chief quantum exponent and VP of mathematical sciences within the research division, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Boulder, Colorado-based ColdQuanta is the developer of the world’s first cold atom technology that NASA deployed on the International Space Station.
