What Is the Scope of the DHS Contract?

The company said Thursday the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period and nine option years. The ordering period kicked off Thursday, June 25.

Under the CWMS 3.0 contract, WidePoint will provide and manage an integrated portfolio of offerings supporting connectivity, lifecycle management, security and operational requirements across DHS components. The company said the contract also enables the delivery of AI-driven data intelligence, device security, mission-tailored networking solutions and other value-added services.

DHS issued a solicitation for the IDIQ contract in November.

WidePoint noted that its FedRAMP-certified ITMS Command Center platform will continue serving as the main operational hub for orchestration, monitoring and reporting across the DHS portfolio.

What Did WidePoint Executives Say About the Contract Award?

WidePoint CEO Jin Kang described the award as a strategic milestone for the company and said it provides a pathway to deliver mission-critical communications-related capabilities across the federal government.

Jason Holloway, the company’s chief revenue officer, said DHS more than doubled the contract ceiling compared with the predecessor contract and added that the company expects managed services work to grow under the new vehicle in support of the federal government.

WidePoint Chief Operating Officer Todd Dzyak said the company looks forward to expanding the services it provides to DHS while continuing to enhance the ITMS Command Center platform to support evolving federal communications, security and mobility needs.
