The Federal Aviation Administration has chosen seven companies for a potential $271.9 million small business set-aside contract to provide augmentation or backup services to the agency’s automated aviation weather observing systems at U.S. airports.
FAA named the awardees for the multiple-award weather observation services contract in a notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.
Contractors will perform work across 11 areas under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year options.

SOFIS-TRG: Areas 1 and 3: $56 million
The IBEX Group: Areas 2 and 6: $71.2 million
Condor Reliability Services: Areas 4 and 5: $62.8 million
Clear Science: Area 7: $24.1 million
Vero Technical Support: Area 8: $23.9 million
Midwest Weather: Areas 9 and 10: $18.7 million
Alaska Weather Operations Services: Area 11: $15 million
