In her new position, Shields will oversee the development and implementation of the company’s strategic approach to managing operations, leading business development initiatives and facilitating the delivery of products and services to customers.
She brings to the role over 15 years of experience in planning and executing high-level projects for the departments of Defense and Agriculture and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She led systems modernization efforts for the U.S. Air Force, National Interagency Fire Center and the National Flood Insurance Program, among others.
Shields previously worked at USDA as senior information technology project manager and spent a decade at the Air Force, where she held program management roles.
