ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) has received a five-year contract to help the Internal Revenue Service consolidate and modernize a dozen outdated agency systems into one platform using a low-code development approach.
The company said Tuesday it will integrate cloud-based technologies to update workflow management, incident assessment documentation and taxpayer engagement functions at the IRS.
An updated system will also support the agency’s human capital office in employee onboarding and retirement processes, according to the cloud software provider.
Steve Walters, vice president of the federal business at ServiceNow, said the company will work to provide the agency with modern technology to meet taxpayer needs as a new generation joins the workforce and digital expectations from people in the U.S. increase.
